New Care Model for Veterans' Outpatient Behavioral Healthcare

Posted by Jay Pelton on May 04, 2016

As a healthcare architect, I am often on-site at hospitals and health centers. Most projects give me the opportunity to get to know the facility’s staff and experience a bit of their day-to-day. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is the staff’s recognition that their needs have been fulfilled as they prepare to occupy a renovated or new building.

At the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon, PA, we recently completed a 23,000 SF, two-story, veteran-centered environment, named the Center for Veteran Enterprises. The video below recounts our relationship with the care team and how we fostered this transformation in the way they provide care and do business, in putting the Veteran first in all they do.
