While designing, I strive to connect place and people, subtly and comfortably. What I love about healthcare design is the ability to positively impact rates of healing by incorporating access to daylight, intuitive wayfinding, modern and calming palettes, and patient/family focused amenities into the architecture. I like designing a variety of spaces within a single facility that speak to each other in terms of aesthetics but respond to very different needs such as patient rooms and a servery under one roof. I also enjoy guiding our clients through process improvement exercises which increase clinical efficiency and productivity leading to better patient outcomes. Supporting our clients in achieving their goals is very rewarding!
